PROS Parents Responding to Opportunities for Success fosters proactive parenting in order to enhance family preservation, education and support. P.R.O.S. provides parenting skills education and promotes activities that increase parental involvement and overall parent empowerment.

What is the PROS?


The PROS Network is a worldwide organization aimed at ensuring that all parents are able to recognize and respond to opportunities for success within their child.

The PROS Network has two main goals: PROVISION and PREVENTION.

Provision – The PROS Network provides a variety of resources for parenting support and education through its worldwide outreach, training, intervention, and reinforcement efforts to include the 2 highly acclaimed Parent Education Programs - "Love & Logic" and "STEP", the Systematic Training for Effective Parenting and our own customized Parenting Skills Training Program.
Prevention – The PROS Network Facilitators have customized a 10 session Violence Prevention Program entitled: "Living W/out Violence in the Family" and an 11 session Leisure Skills training Program entitled.

Objective Measures and Outcomes

  • To provide a year-round “open access” virtual parenting center where at least 60 % of the targeted parents/adults in the online community participate in the introductory webinar/orientation will frequent and use its resources at least 4 times per month.
  • To provide parent and educator support, webinars, seminars, and a library of resources through the PROS Network of which 90% of the participating parents and educators will demonstrate an increase in the quality and frequency in Home/School communication and from which at least 75% of the participating parents will demonstrate support for and cooperation with their child's school and direct care workers.
  • To provide violence prevention activities from which at least 80% of the targeted parents and care givers will attend to completion and demonstrate 75% reduction in pro-violent communication, interaction, gestures and abusive behavior.
  • To provide leisure skills training of which at least 75% of the target parents will attend to completion and demonstrate a 50% increase in participating consistently in appropriate leisure activities.
